LIM College alumni Tianni Graham, the principal archivist at Thom Browne, plays a central role in preserving the brand’s heritage, handling everything from runway pieces to museum loans.
Her responsibilities include detailed documentation — down to stitching — and managing special collections, such as custom Met Gala looks, while working closely with curators and designers.
Graham also founded Archive Alive, a digital archive that highlights Black contributions to fashion, music, and pop culture, by digitizing materials from her own collection.
A former intern at the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute and Estée Lauder, she emphasizes the scientific side of her work — avoiding plastic in storage to protect delicate fabrics from chemical deterioration.
As a Black archivist in a high-profile luxury brand, Graham sees her role as breaking new ground and mentoring others.
