Students at LIM College are preparing to stage the institution’s 81st annual student-produced fashion show, bringing together established designers and emerging talent under a global theme.

The event, scheduled for April 10 at The Glasshouse in New York, will centre on “Global Fashion Fusion,” exploring how diverse cultures and international influences shape contemporary fashion. The show will feature seven scenes combining student styling, graduate collections and established industry names.

Designs by students in New York will be presented alongside work from graduates of ESMOD in France, while pieces by designer Nicole Miller will also appear in a dedicated runway segment. The production marks a trans-continental collaboration between institutions within the Japan Educational Foundation network.

The student-led show will also include styling scenes using garments sourced through Amazon Fashion, as well as additional segments featuring independent brands and alumni designers. The event is organised entirely by students, who oversee styling, production, marketing and event coordination as part of a hands-on learning experience.

Organisers say the format aims to provide practical industry exposure while highlighting emerging talent alongside established professionals, reflecting the growing emphasis on experiential learning in fashion education.
