Emerging designers are set to take centre stage at Fashion Week El Paseo, one of the largest fashion showcases on the U.S. West Coast, highlighting the next generation of creative talent in the industry. The annual event takes place at The Gardens on El Paseo, bringing together established designers, retailers and fashion students for a series of runway shows and industry events.

A key highlight of the programme is the Next-Gen Designer showcase, where students from Istituto Marangoni Miami present their collections to a live audience. The show provides a platform for emerging creatives to gain visibility and experience in a professional runway environment while introducing fresh perspectives to the fashion scene.

The collections typically feature a mix of streetwear, eveningwear and experimental designs, often inspired by personal narratives, global trends and cultural influences. The student showcase is supported by arts patron Jordan Schnitzer, who also sponsors educational initiatives that allow local high school students to attend the event and learn about the fashion industry behind the scenes.

Through initiatives like this showcase, Fashion Week El Paseo aims to bridge fashion education and industry exposure, giving young designers the opportunity to present their work to buyers, media and fashion professionals while inspiring the next generation of creatives.
