The Picto Prize for Fashion Photography has unveiled the 23 finalists for its 2022 edition. The winners will be selected on 19 April during a ceremony at the Palais Galliera.
The jury for this 2022 edition is chaired by French photographer Sonia Sieff and is notably composed of Paolo Roversi, Sylvie Lécallier, photo curator at the Palais Galliera, Gaëlle Gouinguené, head of communication, press relations and cultural projects at Leica, Hubert Barrère, artistic director of Maison Lesage - le19M, and Salomé d’Ornano, director of the Fisheye Galleries.
Created in 1998 by the Picto laboratory to support photographers under 35, the Picto Prize for Fashion Photography now has three prizes. The Grand Prize offers the winner a Leica SL2-S camera, the setting up of an exhibition produced by Picto and the possibility of integrating the public collections of the Palais Galliera (Prize partner since 2017).
New partners
Two new partners, le19M and Paolo Roversi have introduced two new endowments: the le19M endowment for photography of the Métiers d'Art, that notably offers the winner the opportunity to collaborate with one of the resident houses of le 19M, as well as the Filippo Roversi prize, awarded by Paolo Roversi, for the originality of technical ability.
Partner of the prize since 2021, the Photo Festival St Barth Art Week will invite one of the three winners to exhibit their work as part of the festival and to benefit from an artist residency in St Barth.
