Students and alumni of Italian fashion school Polimoda are participating in Pitti Uomo from January 10 until January 13. The school announced in a press release they will be presenting a varied programme that includes an exhibition, a lecture and installations at the menswear fair in Florence.

On Monday January 10, Pitti Uomo held a guest lecture titled “The restart of fashion passes through Pitti” at the Polimoda campus. PwC Italy and the Edison Foundation analysed the prospects of Italy's post-pandemic economic recovery and the role of the fashion sector.

From Tuesday January 11 to Thursday January 13, Polimoda presents the exhibition “Inner Jardin Noir”, an installation by Polimoda Fashion Design alumna Ilaria Bellomo and Sicilian artist Sasha Vinci in which “clothes transform a dreamlike dimension into reality”, the school explained.

In addition, Pitti Uomo participants and visitors can admire the installation “Insiemi Ibridi” at the official Polimoda stand. Polimoda Fashion Art Direction, Fashion Styling and Fashion Trend Forecasting students have curated an exhibition that combines digital narration with a menswear capsule collection by Domenico Orefice, a recent Polimoda Fashion Design graduate.

Those interested can register for all Polimoda events at Pitti Uomo via the Polimoda website. In addition, from January 10 to January 13, Polimoda will go live on its Instagram and TikTok account during the school’s events.
