The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) will celebrate its largest graduating class of 2022 with more than 3,200 graduates.

Over two days on June 3 and 4, SCAD will showcase digital and in-person events. The commencement address will be delivered by Amy Poehler, actor and author, and the digital handing of degrees to the graduates will be given by SCAD alum Daniel Thrasher, actor and composer.

David Yurman, a jewellery designer and sculptor, and Tricky Stewart, songwriter and composer, will be given two honorary degrees at the event presented by Paula Wallace, SCAD president and founder.

Wallace said in a statement: “The Class of 2022 will carry SCAD in their hearts wherever they go, into every boardroom, every brand they build, and every atelier and studio they launch.

“SCAD Bees make the world more beautiful. Together, we strengthen our communities and uplift our neighbours. These talented Bees may be graduating, but they never leave SCAD. They are SCAD. And they shine our love and light in everything they create for others.”
