The Seville Fashion Design Institute (ESSDM), a vocational training institute in the South of Spain, has introduced new fashion programmes for the 2022-2023 academic year, as per a release sent out by the school.
The new programmes include a Higher Degree in Pattern Making and Fashion and an Intermediate Degree in Dressmaking and Fashion which have been added to the Fashion Design and Graphic Design programmes currently offered by the school.
ESSDM will train these professionals through its Higher Level Cycles and Intermediate Level Cycles with practical methodology, as “the employability of young people and adults no longer depends only on their level of training but also on their level of personal and professional competence,” the school’s release said.
The general competences that students will acquire during the new vocational training programmes at ESSDM include elaborating patterns and scales adjusted to the design of textile products, organising and technically managing production processes in the area of industrial clothing, acting under good practice standards, as well as quality, occupational safety and environmental protection.
