Texas Christian University (TCU) has established a new partnership with Florence-based fashion school Polimoda, giving TCU fashion merchandising students the opportunity to study in Italy from spring 2027.

The semester programme will offer students a choice between Fashion Design & Business and Fashion Design & Crafts, combining TCU’s merchandising and business-focused education with Polimoda’s creative and industry-connected approach. Students will study within Florence’s fashion and luxury ecosystem, with exposure to Italian craftsmanship, design and fashion production.

The partnership also aims to extend beyond student exchanges. Both institutions are exploring opportunities for research, faculty collaboration, knowledge exchange and potentially further academic programmes between the US and Italy.

For fashion students and educators, the collaboration reflects the growing role of international partnerships in connecting classroom learning with different fashion markets and professional environments. It also gives TCU students the opportunity to experience Florence as both a cultural setting and a working fashion ecosystem.
