A regular event on the calendar: The Hyères Festival. The annual fashion
and photography festival takes place in October and the organization has
now announced the fashion nominees prior to it.
There are ten designers in the race for the Hyères Festival fashion award. Men's fashion designers Arttu Afeldt (Finland), Mengche Chiang (Taiwan), Ifeanyi Okwuadi (Great Britain), Rukpong Raimaturapong (Thailand) and Mateo Velasquez (Colombia) are nominated. Womenswear is also represented among the finalists by Venla Elonsalo (Finland), Sofia Ilomen (Finland), Laima Lurca and Marta Veinberga (Latvia), Adeline Rappaz (Switzerland) and Elina Silina (Latvia).
Former winners of Hyères' fashion prize (Prèmiere Vision Grand Prize) include the duo Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh and Belgian designer Tom van der Borght.
