Fred Perry reports rise in annual revenue and profit
Fashion label Fred Perry has reported 6.3 percent increase in turnover to 122.3 million pounds (157 million dollars) while pre-tax profits rose by 5.7 percent to 24.3 million pounds (31.2 million dollars).
The eponymous brand, created by Wimbledon champion Fred Perry in 1952, said in the filing with the Companies House UK that sales in UK and Europe increased by 5.8 percent, while sales in other territories reported a rise of 7.4 percent, in the year to March 2018.
Fred Perry, now owned by Japanese clothing company Hit Union, has announced a dividend of 9.6 million pounds or 259.46 pence per share (12.3 million dollars) compared to 7 million pounds or 155.56 pence per share last year.
