WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As our Apparel Designer II, you'll report directly to the Menswear Running Design Director, work with design management and Senior Designer to actively gain experience, enhance design skills and increase knowledge of Nike's design philosophy, products and processes. You'll also work with category team members in design, development, business and merchandising to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price point, merchandising needs and product creation timelines.

- 3 plus years of relevant experience in product design, preferably with experience in performance apparel, or consumer products.
- Bachelor’s degree in design-related field and combination of education, experience, and training.
- 3D Clo Experience, AI experience and technical apparel experience.
- High end aesthetics to design and function.
- Advanced knowledge in materials.
- Conceptual design and ways to present it in a compelling portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with all team members to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
- Knowledge of the consumer, business, and performance requirements develops insights which feed into the design of advanced product concepts using new technologies or construction processes.
- Demonstrate adaptability in assisting other designers to enhance overall team values and environment.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As our Apparel Designer II in Men’s Running, you'll design innovative apparel product with direction given from design management, utilize design skills to create original, innovative designs that appropriately reflect Nike's design philosophy. You'll communicate design concepts effectively and present concepts within the Men’s Running organization.
As part of the Menswear Apparel Running design team, specifically you’ll be responsible for creating and supporting the future of the main Running portfolio which includes AeroSwift, Fast, Miler and Stride collections. You will be focusing on iconic menswear running silhouettes, essentials, seasonal styles that advances the look of contemporary running culture globally.
You'll prepare presentation materials that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences. You'll monitor the development of prototype samples and interact with development, pattern making, materials, apparel lab, field testing and the sample room to exchange ideas and ensure timely completion of each project. You'll build awareness of current trends, color, technology and sports related products through research and travel.
