What we are looking for:
We’re currently looking for a Lead Graphic Designer to contribute to the graphic design vision for Global Football. Our team works on highly visible product across every geography in the world.
This role requires a high level of passion and creativity, along with the versatility and focus to contribute to graphic direction and strategy through the product creation process. It takes a dedicated teammate that knows how to collaborate and translate sophisticated insights into authentic narratives, while driving design solutions that elevate the future of apparel at Nike and Global Football.
Who you will work with:
You will be authoring graphic vision and strategy while working with a team of designers, developers, and product managers to deliver creative in line with the ACG and Nike Design Ethos. This opportunity will require strong collaborative skills to meet deadlines, ensure feasibility of designs, hit price points, while talking your partners through the thinking behind your work. This role will not have direct reports.
What you will bring:
• 7 years or more of graphic design experience in agency or in-house setting
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
• Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.
• Passion and understanding of the outdoor industry.
• Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.
• Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities.
• Professional visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences.
• Passion for design craft, innovation, graphic applications, prints, processes, and tools.
• Knowledge of apparel product creation.
• Proficient in Adobe CC and comfortable working within new digital spaces.
• Passion for mentoring and coaching.
• Ability to embrace varying points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity and diversity.
What you will work on:
From concepting and building narrative, to working with development to finalize production details; and gaining feedback from internal and external partners, to choosing trim and print applications, you will be challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences. Accountabilities will include influencing teams and contributing to the creative vision of Nike Football, cascading critical information to the design and product team, all while presenting design concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external audiences.
