Lead Software Engineer
Lead Software Engineer - NIKE Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Adopt and implement organization’s software development lifecycle, software testing methodologies, debugging tools, and quality test tools; partner with other engineering functions, production and operations to continuously improve quality standards and performance for Air MI’s entire product portfolio; craft end to end test plan and coordinating efforts to implement UAT with business collaborators publish execution status and defects status, metrics to the project team on a regular basis; reference implementations of testing tools to leverage across engineering lifecycle unit, system integration, functional, performance testing; develop operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process, and contract requirements and objectives; train and empower teams of peers, engineers, or others on implementation of test patterns and testing frameworks; act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues; prepare, lead, and drive manual, automation, functional, and integration testing efforts; perform independent and sophisticated technical and functional analysis for testing needs across multiple projects, supporting several organizational initiatives; analyze and report overall test status and results; define and coordinate regression tests, and production verification and validation for future projects; perform risk analysis at project management level; collaborate with Technical and Business Product Managers, Tech Lead, Software Engineers, Business Partners, and architecture to provide leadership in crafting and driving the best quality practices and solutions across multiple projects; collaborate with Nike Global Technology Quality COE to adopt and innovate new practices and automations; and develop highly effective working relationships with product owners, developers, analysts, operations, and other team members in support of the software process to ensure that releases are tested and ready for a production environment. 10% International travel required. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or engineering- related occupation. Experience must include:
