London College of Fashion's MA show debuts at LFW

London College of Fashion has announced that it is

to debut its MA catwalk show at London Fashion Week in February, featuring 10 collections.

Taking place on February 15 at the Royal Opera House, only four menswear and six womenswear designers from the London College of Fashion MA course were selected to feature in the final showcase.

The students, which hail from all parts of the world, including the Far-East, Europe and Asia, were judged by a panel of fashion insiders comprising of The Guardian’s Simon Chilvers, Lou Stoppard of SHOWstudio, Lee Lapthorne, Founder of On/Off and Professor Frances Corner Pro Vice Chancellor of London College of Fashion.

Commenting on the judging process and the college’s debut at LFW, Simon Chilvers, assistant fashion editor at the Guardian said: "During the panel selection process there was an impressive breadth of skills, techniques and ideas in both menswear and womenswear on display. By becoming involved in London Fashion Week, London College of Fashion underlines the capital's reputation as the fashion city which consistently produces the next generation of industry stars."

As well as the catwalk showcase, LCF will once again be displaying the MA13 season at Victoria House Basement with the MA13 exhibition showcasing photography, footwear, accessories, artefact and sustainable fashion.
