Luxury group LVMH released figures that its Christian Dior Couture

brand saw its sales increased 24 percent in 2012.

Dior appointed designer Raf Simons to take the helm last year, after its previous creative director John Galliano was unceremoniously let go amidst a racial scandal.

Dior said the company saw sales grow to 1.24 billion euro, or 1.59 billion dollars, with all product lines performing well.

“These results reaffirm the exceptional quality of Dior’s products and the powerful appeal of its stores,” the company stated.

Dior’s good performance mirrors positive performance of sister company LVMH, which recently announced a 12 percent sales increase in the fourth quarter to 8.2 billion euro, or 10.68 billion dollars.
