Renowned French footwear designer, Jean-Michel Cazabat has opened his first US store in New York City’s West Village. Located at 350 Bleecker Street, the 1,800 square foot retail space is inspired by Cazabat's own modern, eclectic Soho loft

apartment and incorporates the vibrant signature colours of his shoe line.

"I am
very excited to open my first store in my favourite city of New York," said Cazabat. "This store is for my fans and supporters who love my designs and have searched for a place to shop my collection. I am thrilled to have a place to call home and welcome everyone to now."

Cazabat's first store carries several exclusive fall women's styles, as well as the Jean-Michel Cazabat men's collection and a selection of exotic-skinned handbags and clutches.
The New York store is the designer’s first freestanding retail store worldwide, and sits alongside his shop-in-shop that opened in China's Hangzhou Tower Shopping City in August. Jean-Michel Cazabat luxury shoes are also available at stores worldwide, including Barneys, Neiman Marcus, and Shopbop.com.

In addition to the store opening, Jean-Michel Cazabat’s official website will be re-launched with new product and special features, including a 'JMC World' tab, which includes photos and content of Cazabat's favourite celebrity friends, fans, and other personal inspirations.

The French shoe designer started his career as a buyer and Creative Director for designer Charles Jourdan, before venturing to New York to serve as president of the prestigious shoe brand Stephane Kelian, overseeing operations and developing product for the American market. Cazabat launched his women’s line in 1999; to fill a void in the market for high quality shoes, and then followed with his rock-n-roll inspired men's line a few years later.
