Pretty Green, Liam Gallagher’s clothing range with its quintessential British flavour mixed in with a rock and roll heritage, will open its first international store in Japan at the end of June. The store will be located in the popular Aoyama shopping district

of Tokyo and will sit amongst other premium British brands including Paul Smith, Anya Hindmarch, and Stella McCartney; and the new arm of the business will be headed by Koji Kato, a well-known figure in the Japanese fashion industry with over 30 years’ experience.

The
label, now in its seventh season has put together a range of clothing designed exclusively for the Japanese market, with highlights including leather pieces such as a biker jacket with suede detailing, a luxury wool mix stripe boating blazer and classic polo’s with a twist, all of which are graded to Japanese sizing.

The range is underpinned by a very British red, white and blue theme and its trademark Paisley trimming, which gives it its signature look. In addition to the physical store, Pretty Green is also launching a dedicated Japanese online store where the collection will also be available.

Nigel Grant, Brand director, said: “This is a huge statement for us and reflects the way the brand is growing and becoming much sought after. We are delighted to have set up our own entity in Japan to offer our customer’s an amazing retail experience in which they can shop.

“Japan has a vibrant fashion industry and Tokyo a strong retail market. We see this as a natural progression for us to have a presence there.”

The Japanese store will be the latest new opening for the brand, already this year in the UK it has opened stores in Brighton and, just recently, Leeds bringing the total to 11.
