Return of Paco Rabanne

The fashion pack already had a sneak peek of the return of fashion house Paco Rabannewith the reissue of the iconic Le69 Paco Rabanne bag. The bag collaboration together with Comme des Garçons marked the launch of creative laboratory called Paco

Lab.

The Paco Lab name reflects the house’s desire to become a supporter of innovation and directional talents working in the fashion industry. From March 2011, British designer Judy Blame becomes the new laboratory invitee. He will express his own vision of the world of Paco Rabanne through his personal customization of Le69 Paco Rabanne and an exclusive collection of jewellery pieces inspired by the bag.

Indian designer Manish Arora joins Paco Rabanne in the role of Creative Director of Women's Wear. His first SS12 collection for the house will be presented as part of the official Paris show calendar in October 2011. With the creative input of Manish Arora, and Paco Lab, the company is looking to reclaim its place in the world of fashion.

After over 30 years of fashion, the year 2006 brought an end to the house's ready to wear collections and fashions shows, and marked the departure of the couturier who left to pursue other creative endeavours. The foundation of the fashion house was laid with Paco Rabanne’s first collection titled ‘12 Unwearable Dresses in Contemporary Materials’.

“The Paco Rabanne House must invent other things, touch different universes, have a different outlook and
reach out to the public differently. From now on we must avoid the industrial dimension, but return to the craftsmanship
aspect and produce small collections", says Paco Rabanne.
