US retailer Target has announced that it is partnering with internationally renowned designer Josie Natori to introduce its first limited-edition collection of lingerie and loungewear. The luxurious, yet affordable collection will arrive

in two seasonally themed instalments, the first being available October 30 to December 22; the second will roll out from January 1 until February 23, 2012.

“I am
honoured to be the first limited-edition lingerie and loungewear designer at Target,” said Josie Natori. “Through our partnership, I was able to create a collection for women who have an eye for innerwear style and want quality lingerie and loungewear at an affordable price.”

The Josie Natori for Target collection is inspired by her signature ‘East-meets-West aesthetic’ and comprises of 37 pieces and includes bras, panties, robes, knit and woven pants, leggings, camis and chemises, with prices ranging from $9.99 to $34.99.

Additionally, the retailer has also signed up designers Albertus Swanepoel and Dana Kellin to introduce two limited-edition accessories collections beginning this fall. Both launching on October 30, the South African-born Albertus Swanepoel’s collection features 14 hats for women including fedoras, cloches and floppies in solid felt, printed felt and faux fur. The pieces are each priced at $19.99.

The line sits alongside jewellery designer Dana Kellin’s collection, which features an assortment of necklaces and earrings. The collection embodies the essence of Dana’s refined style of mixing metals with colourful stones in hues of deep blue, teal green, soft pink and rich purple, and will be priced from $9.99 to $49.99.

“It has been thrilling to work with two designers who have such exquisite talent and passion for their craft,” said Trish Adams, senior vice president of apparel and accessories, Target. “Both designers worked very closely with Target to design collections that our guests will be excited to give or receive this holiday season.”

These designer collaborations follow the news that Jason Wu is launching a limited-edition collection for the retailer in spring.
