British high street retailers Topshop and Topman are slated to open its fourth American store at the Grove shopping centre in Los Angeles. The fashion chain, which already has stores in New York and Chicago, is also

opening a Las Vegas store on March 8, and the LA store will mark the retailer’s first West Coast location.

The 25,000 square-foot flagship store, which is currently occupied by Banana Republic, who is moving to a smaller space in the Grove, is down to official open for February 2013. However Rick Caruso, the real estate developer behind the Grove, has been reported as saying they hope to open as early as November 2012 in time for the holidays.

"We've spent a lot of time literally going around the world identifying great retailers and great restaurateurs," Caruso told the LA Times. "You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that Topshop is one of them."

Topshop will be positioned near Forever 21 and Zara, as well as joining brand such as Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, Victoria’s Secret, as well as department stores Nordstrom and Barneys New York in the outdoor shopping mall.
