Topshop opening in Hong Kong

British high street fashion retailer Topshop has confirmed that it is to open its first store in Hong Kong, China next year in partnership with Lane Crawford. Opening in May, the highly anticipated Topshop store will be occupying

a prestigious corner site within the Asia Standard Tower, Queens Road Central, a neighbourhood fast becoming a hub for international fashion brands.

The
store will span across two floors and over 12,000 square feet of retail space, and will house the brand’s apparel, accessories and make-up collections, as well a by-appointment personal shopping area and a VIP suite.

Commenting on the opening, Sir Philip Green said: “I am delighted to be launching Topshop in Hong Kong in 2013 with Lane Crawford as our chosen partner. Their team’s expertise in the Chinese market is invaluable to us.

“This is certainly a very exciting step in the continued growth of TOPSHOP as a global, yet uniquely British, brand. I am confident that the fashion-loving Hong Kong customers will enjoy the retail experience and fantastic product offer that TOPSHOP will deliver for them.”

2012 has been an important year for Topshop’s international expansion plans, the retailer has recently opened stores in Australia, Brazil and South Africa, and the Far East has been a key priority, with 27 new stores having been opened in the region over the last year.
