Another season and it's another creative director departure at Ungaro. The ailing French fashion house today announced Giles Deacon will no longer be designing the brand and left his position as creative. "I am very proud of the work that I
- and my team - did at Ungaro, and it was a pleasure to work in Monsieur Ungaro's studio and with members of his actual atelier," Deacon told Vogue.com today. "I am going to concentrate on the global development of the Giles brand with some exciting one-off projects in the pipeline for next year - and I'm really excited about presenting the Giles spring/summer 2012 collection on Monday evening.""Emanuel Ungaro embodies a very rich and distinct DNA which the company will deliver with a modern spirit," Jeffry M. Aronsson, the recently appointed ceo of Emanuel Ungaro, said today. "The creative process for executing our strategy is largely in place and I will comment on this further at the appropriate time."
