Lady Di dress auction

When dresses worn by Kate or Pippa Middleton are already selling like hot cakes, one can only imagine what dresses worn by Lady Di will auction for. Two designer pieces from the late Princess were auctioned in Beverly Hills for around $276.000. Designed by Catherine Walker, the dresses were part of the ‘Hollywood Legends Auction’.

An anonymous buyer paid $144.000 for a black dress decorated with diamonds, which Lady Di wore during a state visit in 1992. Another $132.000 was paid for a light blue silk garment worn by the Princes in 1987 at the Cannes Film Festival, and two years later to a performance of Miss Saigon at Theatre Royal in London.
