Louis Vuitton's new creative director Nicolas Ghesquière and the company's executive vice president, Delphine Arnault, initiated a project to celebrate the house's monogram logo.

Louis Vuitton invited six of the world’s design pioneers (the ‘iconoclasts’) to interpret the LV monogram for a new series of bags.

The collaborators include architect Frank Gehry, the man behind the new Fondation Louis Vuitton building, Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, performance artist Cindy Sherman, product designer Marc Newson, shoe designer Christian Louboutin, and Rei Kawakubo, the founder of Comme des Garçons.

The result is a capsule collection of collectable monogram pieces, like Cindy Sherman's messenger bag, Frank Gehry's twisted box bag or Karl Lagerfeld's punching bag.
