Mara Hoffman x Havaianas

Designer Mara Hoffman has joined forces with Brazilian footwear maker Havaianas to launch a limited edition line of flip-flops.

The collaborative collection is set to showcase four of Hoffman's vivid prints, which are also prominent in her 2014 resort collection.

"I've been a huge fan of Havaianas for years so it was an amazing opportunity to see them in some of my favorite prints," said Hoffman to WWD. "[The] brands truly embrace beach culture in a fun and colorful way."

This is not the first time that the Brazilian footwear maker teamed up with a high profile designer or fashion house, as Havaianas previously collaborated with Valentino, Missoni and Matthew Williamson for limited-edition collections.

"All of our collaborations start first and foremost with a mutual admiration for each other," explained Havaianas vice president of marketing, Carlos Zepeda. "Both of our consumers seek style and comfort and the partnership was a completely natural fit for the two brands."

The collection, known as The Havaianas + Mara Hoffman Collection, is set to launch in selected stores around the world next month.
