It was sculptural glamour at the Gucci Spring Summer 2012 show in Milan.
Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini said she wanted to explore the optical side of femininity. The result: boxy jackets with gold trim and chain latches. Art Deco inspired patterns and cuts, mostly on dresses and jackets shown with pleated trousers.
