Online luxury fashion retailer Net-a-Porter.com has unveiled the logo of the Group’s first consumer magazine, Porter, with a video teaser for the first issue set to debut in February 2014.

Porter is the first fashion magazine from the Group’s new publishing division, which was set up to publish “world class content across all consumer media platforms targeted at a global luxury audience”. The magazine is for and about women with “great style” and will feature fashion alongside art, culture, beauty and travel.

Commenting on the launch, the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Lucy Yeomans said: “The name Porter lies at the root of the Net-a-Porter.com brand but also, with its different pronunciation Porter [pawt-er] has a dash of independence.

“I love the name Porter because I see it not just as the name of a magazine but also the name of a strong, stylish and adventurous woman of today.”

To act as a teaser to the magazine the retailer has unveiled the logo, a hand-drawn typeface, with a video featuring only a woman’s hands wearing a diamond ring and bracelet with red nail varnish on placing the letters onto the cover, while displaying clues about the content, such as “from page to closet in just one touch” and promises to be more than a magazine rather the “ultimate fashion experience”.

Porter by Net-a-Porter launches in February 2014 and will be published six times a year. It will be available globally on newsstands and via subscription on Net-A-Porter.com.
