The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banned Reebok’s EasyTone Curve trainer campaign. Following two complaints accusing the ad was misleading, and not living up of the expectations from the voiceover: "Reebok EasyTone. Helps tone legs and bum more than regular trainers. Reebok EasyTone with balanced ball inspired technology. Better legs and better bum with every step.", the ad was banned.

The sports company said it used an independent study comparing muscle activation when wearing the trainers, and when walking barefoot. Unfortunately, the ASA undermined the research results and dismissed it for making too small of a difference.
