Irish designer Orla Kiely is launching a footwear collection with high street retailer Clarks for Spring/Summer 2014. Known for her whispy style and vibrant prints, the capsule range will complement Kiely's own signature style, influenced by the 1960s and 70s.

Styles includes a high-block heel with platform, called Marianne, a mid-block loafer with open heel called Muriel, a mid-wedge called Mary and buckled slingback called Matilda.

Styles include signature 70s colours

The collection features a 70s palette well-known in Kiely's collections such as green, mustard, navy and red colourways, while the soles feature the signature Kiely print.

“I always wanted to design a footwear collection and for me Clarks was a very natural fit,” Kiely said. “Starting out from my original collection of bags and ready-to-wear, to the current wider lifestyle range I’m really proud of, it’s brilliant to now be able to add a stand-out shoe range to complete this. We worked closely with the amazing Clarks team to create our vision.”

Kiely began her career designing hats and handbags, and is known as the "queen of print". Her designs reached a new audience when, in the late nineties, she launched her signature laminated cloth bags.

The collection will be available in stores from February 2014.
