The first Russian Eco Fashion Week is taking place in Moscow these days. Every day its participants demonstrate collections made of natural fabrics and recycled materials. Over 30 designers take part in the Week. The range of materials used varies from recycled
viscosa and Pavlov
Posad shawls (big shawls traditionally decorated with Russian national prints) cuttings to paper, computer parts, plastic tubes and construction nets.
The main goal of the event is to start a new eco-designers community and a platform for them where they will be able to form and develop such notions as "eco
cloting" and "eco fashion".
