Fashion manufacturers in New York City’s five boroughs looking to grow their business should take note. The application for the sixth round of the Fashion Manufacturing Initiative (FMI) Grant Fund is now open.
The FMI Grant Fund, in partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation, is a partially matching grant fund that allows fashion manufacturing facilities to grow through the acquisition of advanced technology, innovative equipment and software, workforce training, business consulting services, as well as select relocation costs and capital improvements.

The grants and matching recipient investments, totaling $4.7 million, have facilitated cutting edge and innovative acquisitions, including 3D design software, thermal bonding machinery and body scanning technology.
