The 2021 fall edition of THE RESPONSIBLE FASHION SERIES is coming to Antwerp. At this high-level event, academia, industry and government from all over the world meet to reflect on the future of fashion. Key question in this edition: “Can Fashion Save the World?” As far as Antwerp is concerned, the answer is a wholehearted yes. And we have the talents to prove it! So if you are a creative, start-up or scale-up with brilliant ideas for responsible fashion: join our pitch contest and show the world how it’s done!
The world is facing unprecedented challenges, we all agree on that. There may be somewhat less consensus on fashion being able to save the world. And yet, we at the University of Antwerp and Antwerp Management School are convinced that fashion has what it takes to tackle global challenges. After all, true fashion means daring to imagine, embracing change, promoting diversity, connecting people, etc. All the right competencies we need in our VUCA world!
That is why we are proud to host THE RESPONSIBLE FASHION SERIES, along with our Antwerp key partners. The program will be filled with eye-opening academic presentations, interviews with big names in the fashion industry, triggering panel discussions, and, of course, plenty of room for creatives. Because we are not only convinced that fashion can save the world, we are also convinced that our region has the talents to prove it! So here is a shout-out to all the high-potential creatives and promising start-ups and scale-ups linked to the Antwerp fashion ecosystem. We simply can’t wait to showcase your innovative and sustainable solutions for the fashion industry. All you need to do is join our pitch contest, “Fashion of the Day Future”. Next thing you know, you may be pitching your brilliant idea live for a professional jury and an international audience on October 21, 2021.
Joining the contest will not only introduce you to an international network in the fashion industry, we will also make sure to attract plenty of media attention. What’s more, the winner will be provided with coaching to finetune his or her concept. And, as the icing on the cake, we will introduce the winner to a potential investor to turn the concept into reality. So grab this unique opportunity and register for our pitch contest. About the Responsible Fashion Series
The Responsible Fashion Series originated as part of the Fashion Colloquia collection of events founded by four institutions: London College of Fashion, Parsons school of Fashion and Design in New York, IFM, Paris and Domus from Milan. This new series reflects the need for fashion to take on a new mature and responsible approach for supporting the future of fashion.
