Ahlers' cost saving efforts boost Q3 earnings

Ahlers Ag has announced through a statement that the group’s third quarter revenues dropped by 5.1 percent or 2.9 million euros to 54.3 million euros (59.8 million dollars), primarily due to the discontinuation of activities. At 51.9 percent, the gross profit margin was on a par with the previous year, while operating expenses reduced by 8.5 percent. The company added that earnings before taxes more than doubled to 2.2 million euros (2.4 million dollars) compared to 0.9 million euros in the previous year and consolidated earnings after taxes also rose by 1.5 million euros to 2.1 million euros.
