British luxury label Belstaff has named Cartier’s Gavin Haig as its new Chief Executive Officer, and will take up the role on July 21. Haig succeeds Reinhard Mieck, CEO of Belstaff’s parent Labelux Group, who has been the brand’s interim boss after Harry Slatkin exited as CEO last year.
He joins Belstaff following a 20-year career with Richemont where, most recently, he was international managing director of Richemont flagship, Cartier, responsible for global, commercial business and subsidiaries. Prior to Cartier he worked for Alfred Dunhill and Wedgwood.

Belstaff was bought in June 2011from Michele and Manuele Malenotti by the Swiss luxury group Labelux. Since then Labelux has relaunched it as a British luxury lifestyle brand with multiple product categories including women’s and men’s ready to wear, outerwear, handbags, shoes and accessories.
The label is currently sold through ten freestanding boutiques and premium wholesale distribution worldwide and recently opened a flagship store on London’s Bond Street, accompanied by a successful campaign featuring David Beckham. 2014 marks the brands 90th anniversary.
