Canadian-based women's wear retailer Groupe Dynamite Inc. (GDI) has announced the promotion of Stacie Beaver to the role of company president and chief operating officer. The promotion, effective April 17, is part of GDI’s broader commitment to its core values and the growth of its organization.

With close to 30 years of experience within the fashion retail industry, Beaver previously served at Abercrombie & Fitch for 17 years as group vice president of women's merchandising. Joining GDI in 2017, Beaver will now oversee Group Dynamie's operations and growth in her new role and has been tasked with advancing the organization's mission to deliver products and brands that continue to resonate with consumers.

“We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Stacie as our new President,” said Andrew Lutfy, CEO of Groupe Dynamite Inc., in a statement. “Our shared sense of values and her deep understanding of the industry and our business make her the perfect leader for this role. I am looking forward to working with her in a capacity that allows her to take a bigger part in shaping the future of our organization.”

Formerly the chief customer officer (CCO), Beaver played a key role in forming Dynamite’s customer-centric strategies, which resulted in increased acquisition, loyalty, and market share. She also spearheaded the expansion of the Garage brand in the US, boosting its popularity and following as it moved beyond Canada. The United States will remain a key market for the company's future growth and strategic focus.

“I am honored and excited to take on this role inside a company that I have so much energy and passion for,” said Ms. Beaver. “I’m grateful for the trust and support of our leadership team and the incredible individuals that are part of this organization. I’m looking forward to continuing to deliver innovation and best-in-class experiences for our consumers.”

Established in 1975, Groupe Dynamite Inc. (GDI) manages two women’s retail brands, Dynamite and Garage, throughout North America. Presently, GDI operates almost 300 stores across the United States and Canada, with a workforce exceeding 5,000 employees.
