Vera Bradley co-founder to retire from the company's board

Vera Bradley has announced that the company’s co-founder and long-time board member Patricia R. Miller is retiring from its board of directors, effective August 30, 2019. Miller and her close friend Barbara Bradley Baekgaard co-founded Vera Bradley in 1982, and Miller has served as a member of the company’s board of directors since then. From 1982 through June 2010, she served as co-president of the company. In June 2010, she was appointed national spokesperson, the position she continued until her retirement in October 2012.
