British childrenswear brand Wild & Gorgeous has fallen into administration after 12 years of trading.

James Stares of JWS Business Recovery Limited was appointed administrator on 2 January 2019. The company will continue sales online whilst a buyer for the business and assets of the company is being sought.

Commenting on the news in a statement, founders of the business, Sophie Worthington and Lucy Enfield, said: “After 12 years of building Wild & Gorgeous into a brand that we are truly proud of, [we] are very sad to see it go. It has been an incredible creative adventure but unfortunately we have been unable to realise the full potential of the brand during a challenging retail climate.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who we met along the way and who helped make the brand what it is today. We very much hope that a buyer will be found to take the brand forward to new, exciting horizons and establish Wild & Gorgeous as a top girls party wear brand across the globe.”
