Debenhams appoints Charlotte Burrows as digital director

Debenhams has confirmed the appointment of Charlotte Burrows as new Digital Director. The company spokesperson added that Burrows joined the business on May 1 and reports to Retail Director, Ross Clemmow.

Burrows has joined Debenhams from Estee Lauder, where she held the position of director of online for the UK & Ireland.

For the six months to March 3, 2018, Debenhams revenue reduced by 3.7 percent to 1,065.9 million pounds. Digital sales, however, grew 9.7 percent, with EBITDA growth of 10.3 percent. Digital sales accounted for 21percent of our UK business in the first half. Mobile demand, the company had said, continued to drive performance, with orders via smartphones growing 35 percent in H1, accounting for 33 percent of digital sales.
