Jon Sinko joins Element as VP, global merchandising and design

Element announced the addition of Jon Sinko to the company as VP, global merchandising and design, overseeing the brand’s product function globally. The company said, Sinko comes to Element after a 20-year tenure with Adidas, where he was most recently global head of product for skateboarding and snowboarding.

Element’s Global General Manager David Brooks, said in a statement: “We’re thrilled to welcome Jon to Element. He has a great track record of success in building teams, bringing the right product to the market at the right time, solving complex development issues that come with global brands and increased need for speed to market.”

Ex-Adidas executive Jon Sinko joins Element

Having been with Adidas since their entry into the skateboarding industry, the company added, Sinko has served into several roles and along the way, he helped craft strategy, lead both the apparel and footwear merchandising teams, worked across the business with design, sales, marketing and skate and snow teams to help bring the right concepts to market.

“I’ve always been a fan of the Element brand. They’ve been a positive and inspirational force in skateboarding for 25 years. It was important to me that my future career within skateboarding have meaning and truly give back to the community, and Element has that as a part of the their core values in both principle and practice,” added Sinko.
