Tom Tailor’s womenswear collection is emerging to be the strongest line under the umbrella brand, generating 46 percent of its overall sales. In Germany, like-for-like retail sales made between January and November period increased by 7.5 percent over the previous year.

The company has attributed this sales momentum to the appointment of new Brand Vice President for the Tom Tailor line, which it said has led to the women’s line becoming more on-trend than ever before and is developing into a key player in the apparel industry. The company has expanded the line further over the first eleven months of this year, with the number of shop-in-shops increasing from 85 to a total of 686 in Germany alone.

"We see the positive reactions that our international customers have had to the Tom Tailor Women line as proof that our strategy of short term, analytical product development is working. We will consequently develop our proven product excellence further," said Dieter Holzer, CEO of Tom Tailor Group.

Particularly high performing items in the women’s line this year included trousers, jackets and blouses. The women’s range currently makes up 56 percent of Tom Tailor’s online sales.
