American luxury brand Michael Kors has appointed Jacqueline Hay as its new vice president of buying and planning - Retail Europe, effective April 4.

Hay, who was most recently at House of Fraser, where she served as executive director, apparel and accessories, will report to Cedric Wilmotte, the company’s President - EMEA.

“Jacqueline has been in the strategic business planning and buying sector across a range of product categories for over 20 years and comes to us with a wealth of knowledge, expertise and strong relationships in this space,” said Wilmotte. “She will help us continue to lead our business into the next stage of growth.”

Prior to her fifteen-year tenure at House of Fraser, Hay held executive positions at a variety of companies including Austin Reed, Bill Amberg and FutureBrand, and worked as an independent retail consultant.

Commenting on her new role, Hay said: “I’m delighted to join Michael Kors after working as a close wholesale partner for a number of years. I have seen the huge potential in the company’s future and, as a new member of its European team, I look forward to working together to achieve that potential.”
