German designer label Philipp Plein has named Graziano de Boni as president and chief executive officer of the Americas as the brand continues its global expansion scheme.

De Boni, who will also sit on the company board with Plein, joins the fashion label from the Giorgio Armani Corp, where he served four years as the CEO of the company's North America division prior to his exit in November, 2014. Before he joined the team at Giorgio Armani, he served as president of Reed Krakoff, and has held similar roles at Prada USA and Valentino.

“I am very happy to have Mr. De Boni on board. He will help our team to develop our fast-growing business in the Americas and bring his extensive experience in luxury and fashion to support our global strategy,” said Philipp Plein to WWD on the appointment.

De Boni said he was looking forward to working with Plein and helping “contribute to further growth of his incredible brand and business.”
