Reiner Hengstmann named Head of Sustainability at Hugo Boss

With effect from February 1, 2016, Reiner Hengstmann has assumed the position of Senior Head of Global Sustainability at Hugo Boss. In his new function, Reiner Hengstmann will report directly to Christoph Auhagen.

"We are delighted that, in Reiner Hengstmann, we have managed to secure an internationally experienced expert on sustainability for Hugo Boss. Together we will be evolving this strategically important topic for the company," said Christoph Auhagen, Chief Brand Officer at Hugo Boss.

After completing a Ph.D. in Chemistry, he launched his career as the director of an environmental analysis laboratory in Halle/Saale and as the Chair of Environmental Process Engineering at the University of Erlangen. He subsequently took up a post with the sportswear manufacturer Puma, where he was highly successful in establishing and managing a global sustainability program that garnered numerous awards.
