Russell Investments invests over 1.6 million dollars in Citi Trends

The investment firm has acquired a new stake in Citi Trends, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTRN) during the fourth quarter, according to its most recent filing with the SEC.

Russell Investments Group Ltd. acquired 89,468 shares of the company’s stock, valued at approximately 1,673,000 dollars. The institutional investor already owned about 0.61 percent of Citi Trends at the end of the most recent quarter.

94.35 percent of the stock is currently owned by institutional investors.

It’s worth recalling that a number of other hedge funds also recently added to or reduced their stakes in the company. It was the case of Northpointe Capital LLC, which increased its stake in Citi Trends by 111.2 percent in the third quarter, owning now 369,797 shares of the company’s stock valued at 7,370,000 dollars after buying an additional 194,727 shares in the last quarter.

AWM Investment Company Inc. also acquired a new stake in Citi Trends during the third quarter valued at approximately 3,641,000 million, while SG Capital Management LLC bought around 1,555,000 dollars’ worth of equity.

Paradigm Capital Management Inc. NY increased its stake in Citi Trends by 5.5 percent in the third quarter, so now owns 1,384,400 shares of the company’s stock valued at 27,591,000 dollars. Finally, Prudential Financial Inc. acquired a new stake in Citi Trends during the third quarter valued at approximately 517,000 dollars.
