September same-store sales drop 4.2 percent at Uniqlo Japan

September same-store sales including online sales at Uniqlo Japan, part of the Fast Retailing Group, decreased by 4.2 percent year on year, while total sales including online sales decreased by 4.3 percent.

The company said in a statement that same-store sales dipped year on year in September due to persistently warm weather throughout the month. During the month under review, Uniqlo opened four stores in Japan and closed nine stores.

The group also opened its first Uniqlo Piazza Cordusio store in Milan, Italy on September 13, 2019.
