British luxury brand Temperley London has appointed Luca Donnini as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.

"We are very pleased to have Luca Donnini on board. He brings a very strong background within the industry and has a proven track record in developing luxury brands. I am certain that with his experience and talent he will be able to drive the business to the next level," said Alice Temperley MBE, the label's founder in a statement.

Donnini, the company said, brings 20 years of experience with Max Mara, where he developed the brand’s global expansion and became president of worldwide business. Most recently, he served as president of Guess Europe, where he grew the business to 1 billion dollars in revenues. Donnini is also the founder and chairman of advisory boutique firm Officina Lifestyle SA.

“Temperley represents one of the very few British lifestyle brands with an international appeal. It has great opportunity in this challenging momentum and I am very excited in supporting Alice and all the team to transform the business model in the most appropriate way to face market change and increase profitability,” added Donnini.

Temperley London currently operates four standalone stores, including its flagship store on Bruton Street in Mayfair, and stores in Dubai and Qatar. The brand is also distributed in over 30 countries and more than 150 wholesale accounts, while Temperley Bridal is distributed in over 11 countries and 40 wholesale accounts.
