The White Company's annual revenues grow 7.4 percent

For the period ended March 25, 2017, The White Company reported 1.8 percent rise in its operating profit to 17.5 million pounds (24 million dollars) against 17.2 million pounds (23.6 million pounds) in the last year. According to the accounts filed with the Companies House UK, revenues for the year increased by 7.4 percent to 198.4 million pounds (272.6 million dollars) compared to 184.2 million pounds (253 million dollars) in the year ago period, which the company attributed to all business segments performing strongly during the year under review.

International sales witnessed a faster growth with sales rising 11.3 percent year-on-year to 10.2 million pounds (14 million dollars) compared to a 7.2 percent growth reported in the UK at 188 million pounds (258 million dollars). At the end of the year, the company operated 57 stores including seven concessions after opening three new stores during the year.

At the end of March 2017, The White Company had announced the appointment of Mary Homer, former Topshop managing director, as its new Chief Executive Officer.

The company added that the market in which it operates remains very competitive and the company’s board is focused on improving the brand in all its aspects. The company aims to open further stores in the UK in near future.
