Tracy Lewis, the CEO of the European subsidiary from Japanese lingerie giant Wacoal Europe, has announced her impending departure from the company today after a thirteen year tenure.

The lingerie veteran is set to step down from her role end of March, 2016 when Wacoal Europe’s current finance director, Geoff Emblem, will take over the reins. She will remain on board for a short period of time afterwards to oversee the transition in an advisory capacity. During her eleven years rule as CEO of the company, Lewis has overseen the successful expansion of Wacoal Europe from being a UK-centric business to an export-led supplier, trebling the company’s turnover as a result.

“The last thirteen years have been an incredible journey, of which I am proud to have been part,” said Lewis in a statement. “The wonderful team at Wacoal Europe have all contributed to the growth of our brands globally and I have enjoyed every one of our many achievements together. I leave the business in great shape for Geoff and the team to build an even more exciting future.”

“My passion for product, retail and my entrepreneurial spirit is as strong as ever and I look forward to new experiences and opportunities. I thank all of our wonderful retailers and suppliers for supporting the business in achieving such success and our passionate consumers around the world for loving and living in our fabulous brands.”

Wacoal Europe, Chairman Yuzo Ide added his gratitude for all of Lewis hard work. “On behalf of the Wacoal Group I would like to acknowledge and thank Tracy for he r achievements, passion and vision in leading the business to where it stands today ," he said. " Geoff is a very experienced and capable successor and will continue to drive the business forward to meet its future goals.”
