”McQueen”, the documentary about the life of British designer Alexander McQueen, premiers in UK cinemas today, June 8.
Directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, the documentary reveals some of McQueen’s intimate thoughts about his work, motivations and state of mind. The highly influential yet troubled fashion designer worked as creative director for Givenchy from 1996 to 2001, before starting his own label. His suicide in 2010 shocked the fashion industry.
FashionUnited watched the movie in April, when it premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. Read our review in full here.
”McQueen” is set to hit American movie theaters on July 20.
