Marketing and PR firm HL Group is suing New York-based womenswear brand Milly over unpaid bills. HL Group filed a breach of contract suit in a New York State court last week, claiming that the brand owes it at least 113,000 dollars for work the company did in 2018.

Milly was founded by Michelle Smith in 2001, and has had a consulting agreement with HL Group since 2015. The agreement has been renewed annually each year, requiring Milly to pay the firm a retainer of 15,000 dollars per month plus an additional 12,500 dollars for work surrounding fashion shows.

Despite not hosting a show during New York Fashion Week this past February, Milly is behind on several months of payment, according to HL Group.
